Who do we want to become?

Who do we want to become?

I am lying if I say I do not want materialism.
Even in rare times, my feelings turn sour as I see people with expensive products or luxurious living.
I may sometimes wish I do not lead a modest living.
Yet at the end of the day, I ask myself,
do materials represent who I am, and
who I want to be?

Our lives are created by our painted colors.
What we choose becomes part of us.
What we let go becomes bygone.

Honesty leads to authenticity.
Only when we are true to ourselves then we can be free from internal constrains.

And authenticity and growth are not mutually exclusive.
Do not stop from changing.
We can make a choice to work towards betterment.
Do not be defined by who we are,
but who we are to become.

At the end of the day,
materialism represents who we are,
yet they can never be part of us.
Values and beliefs do.

Follow our passion.
That is where our values and beliefs lie at.
And yet values and beliefs are much more than saying and thinking.
Action and time are the best trainers.
